BSubsea has been contracted by IRM-SPD to support the development of a quantitative risk assessment methodology based on annual pipeline inspection data from a dutch oil/gas operator on the North Sea. 15 years of data are being analysed statistically and the results are used to advise on optimisations of the (acoustic) inspection programme and interval.
The role of BSubsea is to validate the statistics with the offshore practices\ possibilities and to advise on technical and operational details of pipeline inspection campaign. The current survey programme and methodology was looked and a new programme and methodology was proposed to client.
